Thursday, May 7, the documentary "Mario Volpato: The Mathematician Who Anticipated the Future" airs on Sky (9:15 PM) and streaming on Now, produced by Padova Stories with InfoCamere's contribution.
The film, directed by Karma Gava and written by Mariaromana Casiraghi with narration by Andrea Pennacchi, tells the story of the Paduan mathematician and visionary who served as Padua Chamber of Commerce president from 1969 to 1982. Volpato was first to intuit the potential of the Internet and High-Speed rail, launching revolutions that marked the Italian economic system: Cerved's creation, the first interconnected IT network among public entities that became InfoCamere, and intermodality's invention with Padua Interporto.
The project, born from Padua Chamber of Commerce and Itis Digital Academy Mario Volpato, explores through archival materials and testimonies the human and professional adventure of a scientist with deep humanist soul.
