Rome, 23 July 2026 – The second quarter of 2026 confirms the resilience of Italy's business system. Between April and June, the balance between new business registrations and closures remained positive, with a net increase of 32,709 businesses, resulting from 83,169 new registrations and 50,460 closures (excluding administrative cancellations). The growth rate held steady at +0.56%, the same as in the second quarter of 2025, bringing the total number of registered businesses in Italy to 5,823,863.
